One on one with Garth Brooks before two Cincinnati concerts

To me how do you feel coming back here? You know, a lot of those fans had tickets in 2020. And it had to be postponed. They thought you’d come back last year at the last minute. *** Guys have been canceled because COVID is starting to rise again. So you could be back on tour here in Cincinnati for your fans. What is this like? You feel good. Try to remember that both not walking around and walking around are what you’re supposed to be doing, right? So you answer the call. So citizen not being together is what we need to do. This breaks your heart. So getting back together, I have to tell you what we see. I don’t think it has anything to do with Garth Brooks. I think people are very happy, just to get back together again and you’ll see in a *** room where people, if they know each other might not agree, my mom might be red might be blue here. They will have their arms around each other just to sing the river together. Friends are in the low places, and to me that means music is the sound of hope. So I love watching it. This was my second question. For three hours, this country is further divided by three hours. There are people divided about politics on issues who will just meet and watch you, what does that look like to you? I just think they are, and I think what they’re doing is I hope that music will replace music and show them that we have more in common than we have in common, right. I think people are basically good. I think Luke Bryan, this song is perfect and I love to see them come out and just sing and I think you see the real them when you close their eyes and they feel like they’re the only ones in the stadium singing it It’s *** a beautiful thing. And I got the best seat in the house, so I can watch it. But for you, you’re talking about fans to come back. how much did you miss You miss *** a lot. Try to remember that these are the people they’ve been playing with from day one. So we’ve been together all our lives. So we haven’t been able to see them during the pandemic either. So it’s great to see them. Great for everyone to come back and I love it. And our thing is always this, there are people in the crowd who have had masks that are still OK, and I respect that we all get over this at our own pace, and respect it and there’s a lot of love there. But the truth is that when everyone sings, close your eyes, you don’t know who has a mask, you don’t know and you don’t know who’s red or blue, that’s what makes it interesting? Yes ma’am. Are you going back so you can never go out on stage again, are you going to take a *** break again? No, well, we just came out of retirement in 2014. I told you you made the mistake of letting me come back now. You have to fire me. So we’ll see how long this lasts. Yes ma’am. OK. Your favorite country music song of all time. Oh, he stopped loving her today or loving Smith’s country. Favorite Garth Brooks dance song. This is an easy game so far. I never passed the favorite test. This is the most favorite city ***. You play in it. It must be Cincinnati. Now wait, you know, we have *** kind of *** something from Cincinnati. Yes ma’am. Have you tried our chili? I’ve heard of it, but of course this isn’t the first time we’ve played here. So horizon, we’re all done. Yes of course you are frank Do you like? Of course, look at me, do I look like I don’t like anything. OK. Finally, you know, you’re a baseball player***. Um, follow the sport. I can tell you just came from Xavier. I don’t know if you’ve seen but you’ve been struggling *** a bit this year. They may need you, you are willing to step in. That’s so cute, anyone who wears the big red machine is in luck, blessed because these guys are legends no matter what their season. But are you sure you want to say that after the last four games because they kicked him out of everyone else? Well, good luck. I need that. I need the concert tomorrow night. I need that to happen. Who is your meteorologist? Tell Kevin. go to work?

After several delays during COVID-19 restrictions, Garth Brooks was in Cincinnati this weekend. The country music legend plays two shows at Paul Brown Stadium, one on Friday and one on Saturday. Because the Saturday night show was sold out, Brooks added another Friday night show because he wanted to make sure everyone who wanted to see it could. I asked him about his touring and playing in Cincinnati. “As a native, not being together was what we needed to do and it just breaks your heart, so getting back together, we see… I don’t think it’s anything to do with ‘Garth Brooks’, I think people are just happy to be back together again. And you’ll see people if they really knew each other, they might not agree, but the red and the blue people would put their arms around each other, said Brooks, when we asked him what his favorite city he’s playing in, he replied, “Oh, that must be Cincinnati.” …do you know we kind of have a Cincinnati thing… have you tried chili?” Paolillo asked him, “I’ve heard about it, but of course, it’s not the first time we’ve played here, so Skyline, we all did… Yes, of course,” Brooks said.
