How not to spoil: Find out how long it takes to grill shashlik and steak and how much fruit and vegetables

Velma Gudkazini, representative of Iki, says that the most important thing in preparing various barbecue dishes is not to overcook them. Fried meat will become dry, seafood will become chewy, vegetables will lose their good qualities, so when preparing for a barbecue, it is important to know how to cook different ingredients.

What and how long to bake?

Shashlik. To make the roast juicy, it is recommended to bake it for about 10 minutes. After all, meat cooked on the outside is always hotter on the inside, but when you remove it from the fire, the inside of the shashlik is still cooked because of the hotter the outside. Therefore, it is important not to overcook the meat, and after baking, leave it slightly warm so that the inside is cooked and the outside does not dry out. Another important thing is to cut the shashlik into equal-sized pieces. This way they will bake evenly.

chops. If you plan to roast a traditional beef steak, then choose 2-3 cm thick pieces of the selected part of the beef that stand out dark red, and also try to cook well-cooked beef – such meat will be more juicy, not overcooked and not hot It will retain its nutritional properties and taste. When grilling beef, the time should be chosen according to the desired level of roasting. However, it is recommended to serve the steak over a medium frying. We’ll get it baked for about two and a half minutes on each side. If you want to bake it whole, the cooking time is 3 minutes. from both sides.

chick. When frying a whole chicken in BBQ – depending on its size, it can be fried from one hour. 45 minutes until 3 p.m. When frying a chicken or chicken, the grill should be heated to about 180-200 degrees. It is better to season the meat or rub it with a mixture of butter, garlic, salt, pepper and your favorite herbs in advance.

fish. Whole fish, as well as pieces or fillets, are ideal for grilling. For example, a marinated dorado can be grilled in just 15-20 minutes. The same cooking time applies to other fish of similar size. If you are grilling fish fillets, the pieces should be baked on each side of the grill within 2-3 minutes. When frying, do not forget to turn the fish over and brush with olive oil.

Shoots. Unlike other fish, tuna is usually served semi-fried or semi-raw. If you are going to grill tuna, it should be heated to a medium temperature. Then fry the tuna steaks in the oil for 1-2 minutes on each side. Fried tuna should be served to the table immediately, the longer the tuna remains, the more it will bake inside.

Shrimp. The shrimp will cook on the grill very quickly. All you have to do is brush them, sprinkle them with your favorite spices, and fry them on a grill over a medium heat for 2 minutes on each side.

Fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables: Bones, pineapple, watermelon, zucchini, onions, eggplant or peppers on coals for a few minutes until they turn well brown. Before frying vegetables, it is advisable to soak a little in the marinade of oil and your favorite spices, and before frying the fruits can be greased with oil and sprinkled with sugar.
